Lucey is still for sale! I just know that she will go to the perfect quilter at the perfect time.
No, I am not going to EVER quit quilting! Don't be silly! I am down-sizing a bit, to make life in a 40' coach much more livable for two self-employed people. I will still be able to quilt for my clients! I will still be teaching, tech-ing and mentoring you in your own homes, local quilt shops and guilds!
What I won't be offering any more is Open Art Bus events. It is SO MUCH WORK to break-down the house, drive it to the location, set it up, break it down, take it back to the park... and since Lucey will no longer be in the RV, there's not really a reason to do it. I know that many of you understand me when I say how stressful it is to invite a bunch of strangers into your HOME!
Speaking of which, I wanted to be sure to let you know that when it comes to your home sewing environment, it is like invisible to me when I come to mentor or to teach you! I'm not there to judge your place, I'm there to help you grow and improve so that you can preserve MORE of your legacy more beautifully! I am in New England until July 10... when you consider I came from Seattle the distance between where I am and where you are is minimal and I have wheels while I am in Lancaster, MA, so I can EASILY come to you and I am also to work with the schedule that would work best for you!
Stay tuneded for photos of me quilting in the blissful outside! The slide is still stuck and I need to quilt to pay for the repair so we moved the machine out onto the "patio" under the awning! I know I am God's favorite because this minor set-back occurred in the Summer time while I am at the ideal spot for a re-group, re-organization and I am not in anyone's way (too much).
This week I really go after my mission whole-hog! The new schedule goes into effect:
Monday you can catch my NEW weekly Making Things Matters Podcast,
Wednesday evening I will be hosting Facebook LIVE! an Artist's Way discussion on the Random Acts of Artwork page.
Friday evening I will be hosting a YouTube LIVE! on Drawing From The Right Side of The Brain (from the book and workbook by Betty Edwards)
Saturday each week, I will host a YouTube LIVE! on the Yes, You Can Quilt Channel featuring designs (drawn and free-motion quilted on a sit-down machine) from my new book series Free-Hand for Fraidey-Cats!
I am looking forward to stretching myself and my self-discipline with this new weekly and consistent schedule. No more excuses for ME! Here it is in black and white, I do so hope that you will join me for one or all of these creative offerings from my heart to yours.
I am convinced that we are responsible to create the world as we want it to be. I want it to be a place filled with the beautiful, the true, the funny, the free and common unity and these are my baby-step contributions to that end.
Please support the ART BUS! We are grateful for each and every generous donation and are in need of some more support for the scholarship fund. For all those who feel led to support us on this journey, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!
