After 17 years of quilt making and experimenting with different combinations of fabrics, battings and threads I believe that I have finally hit upon the pan-ultimate quilt sandwich. The two things I love the most about quilts are the texture and softness, which is sometimes quite difficult to achieve with modern methods that, for sure will ensure that our quilts last a whole lot longer than the quilts of old have, but also makes them feel a whole lot like linoleum. I know I don't want to roll myself up in a piece of linoleum and I doubt many other people do either. I don't even want to contemplate how many rolls of linoleum I have turned out over the course of my career in the practice of finally creating THE perfect quilt...
